Michael has worked as a professional musician for the past 15 years. Performing, recording, and teaching throughout North America. He studied music composition and jazz studies at North Seattle CC under Fred Radke (Harry James Orchestra). He also attended the PNW Film Score Institute to study with 2-time Emmy winner, Hummie Mann. In addition he spent two years in private study with legendary bassist and composer Chuck Israels (Bill Evans Trio). This combination of education and professional experience make him uniquely suited to teach beginner to advanced students. His approach is rooted in fundamentals like note reading and rhythm excercises, but also with attention to each student's creativity.
